Applications for RCACF grants due March 15

The Russell County Area Community Foundation is accepting applications for spring grants until March 15. Approximately $70,500 total in grants are available to area nonprofit organizations, municipalities, schools and other qualified charitable recipients that support the Russell County Area. Funding is available through the following:

KHF Children’s Fund

The Foundation will grant approximately $22,500 from the Kansas Health Foundation Children’s Fund. The purpose of the grant is to support the health and well being of children in the Russell County Area. Examples of past grants include youth reading conferences, nature based programs, field trips, math enrichment, music and sports equipment.

Dane G. Hansen Foundation Community Grant 

The Foundation is pleased to partner with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to award $48,000 in community grants this cycle. Grants will be awarded to projects and programs that address education, health care, community social services and security, conservation and environment, arts and culture, and community beautification. Preference will be given to applications that include community involvement and volunteerism. Grants are not intended for endowment or operational expenses.
