Apply Now for Fall Grants

RUSSELL, Kan.—The Russell County Area Community Foundation is accepting applications for fall grants until October 15.

Approximately $94,400 total in grants are available to area nonprofit organizations, municipalities, schools and other qualified charitable recipients that support the Russell County area.

The Foundation will grant approximately $34,000 from the Fund for a Better Russell County Area. Funding for these grants comes from the generosity of donors who contribute to the Foundation’s unrestricted grant fund which allows the board of directors to respond to emerging needs and problems. Examples of past grants include community park development, the arts, recreation, education and downtown beautification.

The Foundation will grant $1,600 from the Helen Hampl Student Aid Fund to support early education programs in USD 407.

The Foundation will grant $6,800 from the Kansas Health Foundation Public Health Fund to support community health.

The Foundation will grant $2,000 from the Russell Schools Appleseed Program to support USD 407 classrooms.

And the Foundation is pleased to partner with the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to award $50,000 in community grants to support education, healthcare, community social services and security, conservation and the environment, arts and culture, and community beautification.
