Let’s Make Russell County Great #3 Set for Nov. 9

Tuesday, October 31st, 2017

Please join us for a public meeting on Thursday, Nov 9, 6:00 pm at Fossil Creek Hotel, Russell to work on ways to make Russell County an even greater place to live. This is is the third in a series of meetings hosted by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Russell County Area Community Foundation (RCACF) and Russell County Economic Development and CVB.

The purpose of the meeting is to promote strategic-doing, a process that brings civic leaders together to prioritize and collaborate on areas that could transform Russell County.

Betty Johnson of the Dane G. Hansen Foundation will facilitate discussions. At the last meeting, focus groups were formed to work on value-added agriculture, water conservation, a dog park, historical preservation, downtown revitalization, youth programs, an early childhood development center and housing.

The community at-large is invited to participate in the discussions. “We hope to see representation from every Russell County┬ácommunity,” said Muller. “It is an opportunity to bring your good ideas to the table.”
This event is free and open to the public. To reserve your space, please RSVP to the Russell County Area Community Foundation at 785.445.3611 or
