Russell County Area Community Foundation scholarships available

The Russell County Area Community Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2019-2020 school year. This year, over $253,000 is available to students in the Russell County area through the foundation’s 12 scholarship funds:

  • Adolph Boehler Student Aid Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors.
  • David Ochs Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors.
  • Doran and Bina Dole Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors with a disability or financial need.
  • Elaine Hilger Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Russell High School with an interest in music or a career in the medical field.
  • Ervin and Denzell Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors planning to obtain a degree in the college of education or agriculture.
  • Joshua Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors or graduates of Russell High School.
  • Kenneth V. Dumler Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors.
  • Murphy Memorial Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors living in the Gorham Telephone Company’s service area.
  • Paul E. Ruggels Memorial Scholarship, for graduates of Russell High School or Natoma High School who are entering their second year of post-secondary education and are seeking a degree or certification in a healthcare-related field.
  • Pohlman Family Scholarship, for graduating high school seniors from Russell High School or Natoma High School.
  • RHS Class of 1952, for graduating Russell High School seniors. (Contact Russell High School to apply for this scholarship.)
  • Sean Paul Banks Memorial Scholarship, for graduating Russell High School seniors.

All scholarship applications must be submitted through the foundation’s online scholarship portal by February 15, 2019. Scholarships will be awarded by mid-April. The application portal and scholarship guidelines can be found at www.rcacf.net/scholarships.
