Community foundation now accepting grant applications RUSSELL, Kan.—The Russell County Area Community Foundation is now accepting applications for fall grants. Online applications are due October 15, 2020. Last fall, the community foundation awarded USD 407 a grant to bring Reality U to Russell High School. Reality U is a program that works with students to implement financial goals and help them understand money management, the different sources of income, and the relationship between income and career prep. Community foundation awards scholarships

Community foundation awards scholarships RUSSELL, Kan.— The Russell County Area Community Foundation has awarded over $310,000 in scholarships to area students for the upcoming academic year. This includes three scholarships that are being renewed for recipients from previous years. The Sean Paul Banks Memorial Scholarship is for students graduating from Russell High School who are involved in sports their senior year and maintain high academic standards. Megan Peeler and Rhett Pospichal, both of Russell received a $425 scholarship. The Adolph Boehler Student Aid Fund is for students graduating from Russell High School.
