  • City of Lucas

    Thanks to a grant from the community foundation, the Lucas Public Library was able to purchase new furnishings as they moved into a newly renovated, handicap-accessible, larger building for the library.

  • Russell Pride

    Russell PRIDE, Inc., in collaboration with Russell County, proposed to replace the wood bleachers at the grandstand area of the Russell County Fairgrounds, where they are used for numerous events each year during the Russell County Free Fair. With the grant funding they received from the foundation, new bleachers for the fairgrounds arena were purchased.

  • Russell Pride Committee

    Russell's neighborhood lighting display, "Plaza on the Plains," is a tradition that has started in the community decades ago. Each neighborhood has a different lighted yard display, but over the years when people have moved or passed, the displays have decreased.

  • USD 407

    This project is significant because soon, students will be on their own with these responsibilities. The community foundation awarded USD 407 a grant to bring Reality U to Russell High School.

  • Developmental Services of NW Kansas

    As Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas grows, so does the need for more space. The organization outgrew the meeting room at the Pioneer Developmental Center, so the community foundation awarded the organization two grants to renovate the center in order to more efficiently use the space.
